Pepsi-Cola 5 Cent Bottle Cap Porcelain Sign
Shaped like an old Pepsi bottle cap, right down to the scalloped crimped edge, this round sign is split into the classic red, white and blue. A white "5¢" sits up in the red crown, the swirling red Pepsi-Cola script runs across the white middle band with "Registered Trademark" tucked underneath, and a wavy blue section fills the bottom. Little blue ticks ring the white rim to mimic the cap's crimps, and there are mounting holes at the top and bottom. The back is a plain blue-gray.
At 8 inches across, it's a cheerful little piece for a kitchen, bar, game room or garage wall, and a fun one for anyone who collects soda fountain and cola memorabilia.
Fun fact: Pepsi started out in 1893 as "Brad's Drink," mixed by pharmacist Caleb Bradham at his drugstore in New Bern, North Carolina, and took the Pepsi-Cola name in 1898.
